Go Miranda!
2011 Congressional Classroom alum and Polk State Collegiate Senior Miranda Vilekis is working to get her classmates registered to vote. Day 2 wrap up
Wednesday was a busy day in the Congressional Classroom! Our students have written a few highlights of our day. We started at the Library of Congress, the US Supreme Court, House Committee meeting in Longworth Building, NASA, the Florida House and finally the Kennedy Center.

WWII Honor Flight Visit
We had the opportunity to converse with many World War Two veterans about their experiences in their military endeavors while serving our country. The 2011 Congresssional Classroom is underway. Fifteen high school seniors from Florida’s district 12 met at Tampa International at 5:45 this morning to travel to our nation’s Capitol to learn about the inner workings of government and public service.
